Guided Walk: Chesières, Cradle of Tourism

The meeting point is at Villars railway station, the starting point of this guided walk. From there, a pleasant descent on foot takes you to the picturesque village of Chesières. Your guide will explain the development of the village, from its rural beginnings to its role in the rise of alpine tourism.

The walk continues along the agro-environmental educational trail “En Curnaux” - an easy 3-kilometre route through meadows and pastures. Along the way, educational panels offer insights into the vital work of farmers in shaping the landscape. You'll learn how their practices enhance biodiversity, preserve traditional know-how, and maintain harmony with nature. A gentle and enriching immersion into the region’s living heritage.
